1 cup (250 mL) chick peas, cooked
3 Tbsp (45 mL) tahini (sesame butter)
1 garlic clove
juice of one lemon
2 Tbsp (30 mL) miso (fermented soy paste)
1 Tbsp (15 mL) Maison Orphée Olive Oil
1 Tbsp (15 mL) Maison Orphée Organic Canola oil
Paprika and turmeric to taste
Fresh ground pepper to taste


Put all ingredients except spices in a blender and puree until smooth. Pour in a serving bowl and leave a few hours in the refrigerator to let the flavours blend. Sprinkle with paprika, turmeric and pepper. Serve with fresh-cut vegetables, toasted pita bread, Azim bread or in a sandwich.
